RAW Energy is committed to environmentally and socially responsible business management and we expect the same conduct from all of our suppliers, their officers, employees, subsidiaries, intermediaries, affiliates, agents, subcontractors and other associated third parties (collectively, “Suppliers”). We require our Suppliers to respect the principles of environmental and social responsibility, and ethical conduct, and to integrate these principles into their corporate culture.

RAW Energy is committed to environmentally and socially responsible business management and we expect the same conduct from all of our suppliers, their officers, employees, subsidiaries, intermediaries, affiliates, agents, subcontractors and other associated third parties (collectively, “Suppliers”). We require our Suppliers to respect the principles of environmental and social responsibility, and ethical conduct, and to integrate these principles into their corporate culture.

Furthermore, we strive continuously to optimise the sustainability of our corporate activities and our products, and we ask our Suppliers to contribute to these efforts in the spirit of an integrated approach. Our Suppliers are also expected to operate in accordance with the standards within this Code of Conduct. RAW Energy will reserve the right to conduct audit or assessment to ensure such compliance. Raw Energy reserves the right to take appropriate steps regarding our relationship with Suppliers if there is a reason for concern including the right to discontinue any relationship for non-adherence to international principles, failure to correct violations, or displaying patterns of non-compliance with the Code of Conduct.
The Code of Conduct is based on national laws and regulations as well as international conventions such as the United Nations’ Universal Declaration of Human Rights, guiding principles about children’s rights and child labour, the United Nations Guiding Principles on Business and Human Rights, the International Labour Organization’s international labour standards, and the Global Compact initiative of the United Nations. We expect our Suppliers to adhere to all relevant laws and regulations as well as to the requirements of the Code of Conduct.

Suppliers should ensure that their operations, products and services comply with all applicable laws and regulations in the countries in which they operate including international maritime standards where applicable. Suppliers must avoid any actions that could lead RAW Energy to be in breach or be subject to penalties under any applicable law.

RAW Energy is committed to operating in an environmentally responsible manner, from the provision of products and services to the operation of its offices and facilities, selection of vendors and other business activities.
Suppliers must comply with applicable environmental laws and regulations within the countries they operate in, as well as self-directed commitments to sustainable practices and environmental protection.
RAW Energy and the Suppliers shall produce measurable environmental impact reports and conduct ongoing efforts to reduce environmental pollution and increase sustainability

Suppliers are expected to respect the rights, interests, and development aspirations of the communities in which they operate. One goal of the corporate social responsibility program is to build partnerships with like-minded organisations by actively seeking out business partners who are the most environmentally and workforce friendly.

In line with the Code of Conduct, Suppliers will implement safety management controls and strive for continuous improvement in its health and safety policies and procedures.

Suppliers must be committed to the protection and security of its information and hold itself to the highest industry standards with regards to protection and security of information.

Financial Crime
Suppliers should be committed to promoting values of integrity, transparency, accountability, and good corporate governance and not engage in illegal activities such as corruption, bribery, fraud, embezzlement, extortion, money laundering or tax evasion, or conduct their dealings in ways that are unethical or contrary to professional practice. Suppliers are expected to have adequate procedures in place to counter such issues. Suppliers are expected to conduct their own due diligence on parties in their supply chain. It goes without saying that Suppliers must comply with all applicable laws governing anti-corruption and/or bribery including but not limited to Malaysia’s Anti-Money Laundering, Anti-Terrorism Financing and Proceeds of Unlawful Activities Act 2001, Malaysia’s Anti-Corruption Commission Act 2009 and the US’s Foreign Corrupt Practices Act 1977.
Suppliers must avoid conflicts of interest that may compromise their credibility with RAW Energy or the confidence of others in RAW Energy. If such conflicts arise or appear to arise, Suppliers must mitigate them and promptly report them to RAW Energy. Suppliers may learn information about RAW Energy, its associates, its clients, its business partners or other companies that is not publicly available. It is illegal for any individual to use information obtained in this way for personal gain or to share it with others.

Suppliers must respect and support basic human rights and dignity, and not engage in any conduct that constitutes child labour, human trafficking, human slavery, or forced labour. Suppliers must not traffic individuals or in any way exploit individuals by means of threat, force, coercion, abduction, or fraud.
Suppliers must not discriminate in respect of employment and occupation and must treat their workers with dignity and respect. Suppliers shall provide a safe and healthy workplace and care for their workers and anyone that could be impacted by their activities.
Suppliers must comply with all applicable laws in relation to working hours and remuneration and should comply with applicable laws and regulations relating to freedom of association. Suppliers should respect their employees’ right to join, form or not join labour unions in accordance with local law without fear of reprisal, intimidation or harassment. Where employees are represented by a legally recognised union, Suppliers should negotiate with the union in good faith.

Drugs and Alcohol
Suppliers must not provide any services to or for RAW Energy while under the influence of alcohol, illegal drugs or other controlled substances that may impair the ability to work safely. In addition, suppliers must not possess alcohol, illegal drugs, or other controlled substances while on RAW Energy’s premises, or while providing services to or for RAW Energy. If an employee is required to carry or take prescribed medication, suppliers must inform RAW in writing, prior to the employee starting work.

Suppliers must not provide any services to or for RAW Energy while under the influence of alcohol, illegal drugs or other controlled substances that may impair the ability to work safely. In addition, suppliers must not possess alcohol, illegal drugs, or other controlled substances while on RAW Energy’s premises, or while providing services to or for RAW Energy. If an employee is required to carry or take prescribed medication, suppliers must inform RAW in writing, prior to the employee starting work.

RAW Energy is committed to fair, free and open competition, and strictly prohibits suppliers from engaging in anti-competitive practices including entering into discussions or agreements with competitors concerning pricing, bid rigging, market sharing or similar activities.
