Position Summary

The GM/Factory Manager is responsible for overseeing all aspects of the production process within the factory,ensuring , efficiency , quality , and safety standards are met . This role involves managing a team of production staff . coordinating production schedules , optimizing workflow and implementing continuous improvement initiatives to enchance factory operations .

Job Description

  • Production Management
    • Plan , organize and oversee the production process to ensure timely and efficient manufacturing of palates.
    • Develop production schedules and allocate resources effectively to meet production targets.
    • Monitor production output , quality standards , and compliance with production specifications.
  • Team Leadership
    • Lead and manage a team of production supervisors and line workers.
    • Provide guidance,training and support to ensure staff perform their duties effectively and adhere to safety protocols .
    • Foster a positive work environment that promotes teamwork,motivation and employee development.
  • Quality Assurance
    • Implement quality control measures to maintain product quality and consistency .
    • Conduct regular inspections and audits to identify and address any quality issues or deviations from standards .
    • Collaborate with quality assurance teams to implement corrective actions and preventive measures .
  • Safety and Compliance
    • Ensure compliance with health and safety regulations , including proper use of personal protective equipment (PPE) and adherence to safety procedures .
    • Conduct safety training sessions and promote a culture of safety awareness among factory staff.
    • Investigate and address any safety incidents or near misses in a timely manner.
  • Inventory Management
    • Manage inventory levels of raw materials , components , and finished products to support production needs .
    • Coordinate with procurement and logistics teams to ensure timely supply of materials and efficient inventory management practices .
  • Continuos Improvement
    • Identify opportunities for process optimization and cost reduction initiatives .
    • Implement lean manufacturing principles and continuos improvement methodologies to enchance efficiency and productivity .
    • Analyse production data and performance metrics to drive operational improvements.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Manufacturing , or related field . (Preferred)
  • Proven experience in production management , preferably in a manufacturing environment.
  • Strong leadership skills with the ability to motivate and engage a diverse team .
  • Knowledge of production processes , equipment , and quality control principles .
  • Excellent problem-solving abilities and decision – making skills
  • Familiarity with health and safety regulations and compliance standards.
  • Effective communication and interpersonal skills .
  • Proficiency in MS Office and production management software .
  • Ability to work flexible hours and adapt to changing production demands.
  • Willingness to take on hands-on tasks and work in a fast-paced environment.
